Guest guest
We went to Hawaii some time ago, and there it was, the whole pig in the cooking pit and then laid out on the table. Treif delight, but this tourist ate the salad and pineapple. PJ > > > Mara, > > > > How thoughtful.. > > > > This is quite a post since it is like the motherload of all; uber > > treif. Guest guest
You gals are funny.. Personally I believe in consuming the whole animal and not this like American way of doing things just deeming one part of an animal ok to eat and the rest is like EWWW. My friend was here a while ago and she bought chicken from the Farmers Market (not kosher LOL) and it had the feet attached. Anyway she cooked it feet on in the roasting pan. The little claws grabbed on to the rack and would not let go. She used to be a vegetarian.. The image of this made her utterly squeamish. Needless to say she could not eat dinner.. Meanwhile I was just kept cracking up.. I saw no metaphor in it just how the animal was placed and reacted to high heat. We both laughed silly. The plights of remaining Kosher and being on this diet.. But actually since it's not about processed foods one doesn't really need to check for OU this or chalav yisrael that, huh? Or am I being incredibly peachy with this line of thought? Obviously I had absolutely no issue being Kosher SCD in Israel. What a pleasure. SCD Israel says that Tnuva or like Strauss cottage cheese is legal. That is like my favorite thing. Just an FYI. Jodi
