Guest guest
I am soooooo dissapointed. Angie called from Dr. Anthone's office and said the doctor has turned me down. He offered to take down the failed vbg and repair my abdominal hernias but no revision and no switch. I asked why, but of course, she had no idea. The DOCTOR said no!! I am beside myself! I should not be taking this so hard. I think I saw this as my final chance at a *normal* body in this life. The tears keep filling my eyes and I don't know where to turn except here. Thanks for reading. caroline Caroline, Have you contacted Dr. Hess. He has done a lot of VBG to Ds revisions. I don't remember your whole story. I appoligize. Guest guest
I suggest that you call Dr. Anthone and find out why. If it is not set in stone, you may be able to change his mind....or have more info to take to the next physician. Good Luck.......my heart aches for you. Guest guest
Caroline, I'm SO sorry to hear that Dr. Anthone turned you down. Will your insurance allow you to go out of network to another DS surgeon? Regards, Dorian
Guest guest
Dear Dorian: Insurance (as far as I know) is not a problem. I have medicare and a good suplementary as well. I can go to any doctor I choose. I chose and he said no. Now what do I do? Caroline --- dorian_dean@... wrote: > Caroline, > > I'm SO sorry to hear that Dr. Anthone turned you > down. Guest guest
Caroline, I believe there is a DS_revisions group. You may want to ask whom they recommend for revisions so you can pick a doctor willing and experienced at revisions, since they would most likely be more complicated. Guest guest
Thank you..... it IS an ache in my heart. I sent Dr. A an E-mail asking WHY.... obviously, there is something wrong that I need to be aware of! My next move is Dr. McGuire, I think. I have heard good things about him and revisions. Maybe Dr A was not the one for me..... " God works in mysterious ways " and I am just trying to keep that in the forefront of my mind right now because of the sadness I feel. Thank you for caring Caroline --- hopingsoul@... wrote: > > I suggest that you call Dr. Anthone and find out > why. He did indicate to me he's done different revisions before as Dawn said. I don't know why the other Dr. refused you, maybe it was for a simple reason that had nothing to do with you not being ABLE to be revisied. I'd check out Dr. Hess and get a second opinion before I lost hope!(maybe even several opinions) Hope you get the approval you're looking for, Angel --- Caroline Powser humngbrd2001@...> wrote: > DAwn: No, I have not contacted any other doctor. > At > his point, I am emotionally regrouping. I really don't think that doing the revision could be the problem, because I know that a good percentage of Dr. Anthone's practice is made up of revising other surgeries to the DS.
