Guest guest
Does anyone know if Honeyville Almond Flour is as finely ground as Digestive Wellness Almond Flour? Thanks,
Guest guest
Thanks for your responses. I ordered a huge amount from Nutty Guys and it was very coarse by comparison. I didn't want to make the same mistake again! > > Does anyone know if Honeyville Almond Flour is as finely ground as Digestive Wellness Almond Flour? > Thanks, > >

Guest guest
how is Bobs Red Mill Almond meal?If it says almond 'meal' and not 'flour' then it's probably not fine enough to use for baked goods and such. Guest guest
I tried to make a " cake " with Trader Joe's almond meal and it wasn't that great - dry and grainy. It was the recipe from BTVC. I'm hoping that Honeyville or some other almond flour works much better than that. Does anyone have experience with the TJ's stuff as opposed to real almond flour? I want to start baking with something besides pecan butter and almond butter pretty soon. Thanks, Liz > > how is Bobs Red Mill Almond meal? > > > If it says almond 'meal' and not 'flour' then it's probably not fine > enough to use for baked goods and such. > > Pour Dieu, pour terre, > Alyssa 15 > UC April 2008, diagnosed Sept 2008 > SCD June 2009 (restarted) > No meds except for stupid iron pill I have to take that is SO illegal >
Guest guest
Okay, whew! I was trying to figure out how I was going to get away with that texture with my family. They were really polite, but it was obvious that no one was thrilled with the outcome. I'll think about ordering almond flour in another paycheck or two. Thanks, Liz > You can't use TJs for baking - or, well, you can, but as you discovered > it doesn't work that great - but it's fine for things like almond milk > or > when you need a bit of a coarser texture. > > Honeyville is great for baking. > > Mara > > Mara > > > > > > I tried to make a " cake " with Trader Joe's almond meal and it wasn't > > that great - dry and grainy. Real almond flour is amazing =) Pour Dieu, pour terre,Alyssa 15UC April 2008, diagnosed Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)No meds except for the stupid iron pill I have to take that is SO illegal
