Guest guest
I looked on Yahoo and it says that BTVC-SCD has 997 members. Whew! That's a lot. Not sure how to check for pecanbread though.Nevermind! I just found it and pecanbread has 4308 members. So altogether that's over 5,000 people! Not sure if that's sizeable from a business perspective, but from MY perspective, I'd be happy getting that many extra people buying MY tomatoes =) Pour Dieu, pour terre,Alyssa 15UC April 2008, diagnosed Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)No meds except for the stupid iron pill I have to take that is SO illegal
Guest guest
This only includes Yahoo groups. What about Google? Lucy from the Kitchen shop doesn't hang online yet she deals with newbies all the time. Dr Hoffman deals with many SCD'ers that never go online. There are many people doing this diet without being a member of online groups. Just a thought. Jodi
Guest guest
Not to bring this up again.. but from what I am understanding Dr Haas did not have an issue with unadulterated cacoa.Since you brought it up, I don't think I knew that - or if I read itonce, I had forgotten it. Elaine just found it was problematic for some? Mara

Jodi, Sorry. Cocoa contains polysaccharides, which are a problem. I have a posting somewhere in my archives which explains it, but I am not finding it at this unghodly hour, and I need to get to bed -- we're going over to my folks again tomorrow, and taking the usual (90%) SCD meal. That is, there's usually a starch for my Dad and Harry if he wants it, and I have something else. Guest guest
Misty, I have their number and I will be calling them on Monday. I think it will be a process, so it may take some time. I will of course, share everything with the group. Terry Re: Coconut cream now legal commercial products Terry,I would like to know. A local place sells that product.ThanksMisty>> I have to agree with Jodi--> > The reality of the situation is that there are a lot of us who do dabble in convenience foods because, well, they're convenient. However, I did not experiment with these at all until my symptoms were under control and I was stable. I introduced it one at a time like any other food and waited to see if any repercussions.> > But apropos of this--I am going to try to call Cento and get a letter from them as well for tomato products--they are less expensive than Muir Glen, packed in Italy and ingredients are fresh tomatoes, no citric acid or salt. I would need to know approx how many people on the list and pecanbread so I can use this as a tool to let them know the letter will be affecting a substantial market----anyone know that number offhand, please?> > > Terry
Guest guest
, What we're attempting to do is build a library of letters that newcomers can consult. That's what I thought, that we would contribute any letters that we got from companies on their products, not just file when we wrote them. Though I suppose there's some sense in that so six people don't write the same place.
