Guest guest
Marilyn, Where is that letter. please? I went to 'Files" on the list and I did not see a letter in your file. I want to obtain some more letters-----does it just have to affirm that there are no sugars or starches or hidden ingredients during the manufacturing process? Thanks, Terry Re: Re: Coconut cream At 06:24 AM 9/19/2009, you wrote: That in now way means SCD has to endorse it but the original approved list needs updating!True, but so far, I've only received a copy of one, count 'em, ONE physical letter for all these items that people use. Not sure how to check for pecanbread though.Nevermind! I just found it and pecanbread has 4308 members. So altogether that's over 5,000 people! Not sure if that's sizeable from a business perspective, but from MY perspective, I'd be happy getting that many extra people buying MY tomatoes =) Pour Dieu, pour terre,Alyssa 15UC April 2008, diagnosed Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)No meds except for the stupid iron pill I have to take that is SO illegal
Guest guest
Wow, thanks, Alyssa! I agree- 5000 people PLUS their families is very sizeable. I just left a message on their Human relations machine, and I'll call back on Monday during their regular hours. I only said 2000. Now I can up it to 5000. I think it is good to let these companies know how many people their food product will affect in a positive way. Guest guest
This only includes Yahoo groups. What about Google? Lucy from the Kitchen shop doesn't hang online yet she deals with newbies all the time. Dr Hoffman deals with many SCD'ers that never go online. There are many people doing this diet without being a member of online groups. Just a thought. Jodi
Guest guest
Hi Marilyn, > I'm not about to deny that there need to be > updates. The problem is -- we have no " rabbinical > board " to determine what is " kosher " for us SCDers. I think we could start at updating Elaine's list and taking out the info that is dated! I really like Terry's suggestion. About one or two years symptom free or whatever. We all just need to work on some of these key products. > You saw what transpired when I suggested that > cocoa butter might be legal because it was a fat, > and did not contain the proteins and > carbohydrates which both Dr. Haas and Elaine were rightly concerned about. Guest guest
Hi Terry, There's no such letter in my file because I wrote it when I was brand brand new to the group and didn't know I should put it there! Sorry. At this point I doubt I have what I wrote anyhow. But I will be good next time. Promise. It was to Seneca to ask about their " 100% applesauce " . As I say, never heard a word anyhow. So what IS the drill? I thought we just shared letters when we heard back from these people. Wrong??
