Guest guest
Hi Jodi, According to their website the Digestive Wellness coconut flour does contain sulfite as a preservative: http://www.digestivewellness.com/itempage-1031-24-11-1567.html I know Tiana coconut flour does not contain sulfites and is not bleached. If you can find a coconut flour that is not white, most likely it is not bleached or treated with sulfites. I totally missed this! I would of never bought it if I would of paid better attention! > I know Tiana coconut flour does not contain sulfites and is not bleached. I am trying Bob's RedMill tonight which is much finer than DW that I had to adjust some of the components in the recipe. I am a little worried about Bob's but it has a yellow'ish color. Guest guest
Mara, What are you using for coconut milk, please? It's easy to make your own. Which is what I've beendoing. To fess up, since I was cooking for guests, and at the lastminute, in a total rush for time, I realized I needed to double therecipe and I didn't have enough milk to make two recipes, justone - the way I had planned - so I finally added the can of TJs light coconut milk thatI bought 2+ years ago, when I started the diet and stocked upafter reading Eat Well, Feel Well - but then never used. I think I'm okay from it - I had a slight reaction yesterday, but that, I think, is from eating at my sister's house - sheis somewhat careful with preparing food I can eat - but things slip in she's not fully conscious of. I had some moretoday - and no reaction - and I was eating my food allday - so I think it was something else that caused that. Mara

Guest guest
I haven't tried Bob's because it is really expensive. I'm pretty sure I'm using Tropical Traditions (I broke the bag and put the flour in another container, and threw out the bag) which is sold at my health food store. The 5kg bag has lasted me so long, since I don't need much in each recipe. It's a light tan color so definitely not bleached. Not sure about sulphites but I've never been bothered by them so I wouldn't tell just from eating it.
