Guest guest
Sweetie... Keep in mind that as you rapidly shed weight, estrogen stores are released from your fat cells...and it's like being flooded with PMS feelings. That will happen from time to time, an dyou just need to reassure yourself that it is utterly normal. We can talk later, but just be gentle with yourself. Robynnmybrwneyes2005 wrote: Robynn,Oh my gosh, thank you so much for your reply....I sat here crying as I read your e-mail cause I have someone who can relate to what I am going through. I have felt so awful and emotional today that I feel like a baby. My surgery was the day after yours. The stuck feeling is so awful, the thing I forgot to say was that I was eating yogurt when I got the stuck feeling and ream soup the other time. Even water has made me feel the same way, I attribute that to maybe drinking it too fast. Like you, eggs made me feel the same way. It's so weird that this feeling happend 3 weeks later.I will try chewing even more with the other things, but that's tough with yogurt... :)I have a lot more weight to lose than you do, I will e-mail you and talk to you more about that, you are doing great with your weight loss, I guess like you, I am so scared that I did this surgery and worry that I won't continue losing weight like normal GB patients and it freaks me out not losing these last days. I am an emotional wreck right now and not sure why. I know I can't get enough water down either, maybe 30 oz a day, so I will try and increase that too and see if it helps. I am happy about the 29 lb loss, don't get me wrong, but I guess it came off so fast that I thought it would just keep going like that. Silly I guess.I do plan on calling my Dr. tomorrow to see if the pain is something to be concerned over just in case. Thanks for your advice, I feel a bit better knowing that I'm not alone.> Here I am again with more questions...> I'm a bit scared and nervous over the fact that I am 3 weeks and 4 > days out of surgery and since yesterday, anything I eat has been > hurting as it goes down. Guest guest
You have been given GREAT advice. Chew soup, chew yogurt, chew everything. You have a brand new body part and you have to talk to it, learn from it, and humor it. The hardest thing to learn is that you feel full. Pay attention to that. I was told that if you feel full in your throat, you have reached the top of the pouch. Stop. Put down your fork or spoon and rest. I still have trouble putting the fork down. But, as I say to you guys, do as I say, not as I have done. Also, as an update, I have been on the very best protein I have ever tasted the past 4 days, and I am feeling so much better! The water weight is coming off and I am doing my utmost best to stick to protein, and my goal is to get in 90 grams per day, as we really can't lose the wt without hitting the 90 grams. I know you guys are told 60, but if you could add one more shake, do it. It will help you. I am here reading all of the time, and rarely write, because my own stumbling has been an obsticle for me. So, if you have advice for me, I am here. I really appreciate this site. Too bad it took me a year and a half to find you. Happy 4th! Robin ZemelRobynn VanPatten wrote: Sweetie... Guest guest
problend 55 has 55g protein per serving. It mixes wonderfully, and tastes fine mixed only with water. at least the Mocha Cappucino does. it's the only flavor I have tried. Give it a whirl! Guest guest
I ordered it from: http://bodybuilding.com/store/hd/pro.html They are quick. Vitalady also has it, if I remember correctly, but it was a little more expensive. Guest guest
Hi Go to www.vitalady.com She has had the surgery and will sell samples of protein shakes, you can email her also And ask her questions. Also there is a good protein group at yahoo http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OSSG-Protein/Where they have free recipes. Vitalady has Vits and a few other items. Everyone's systems are different so before you buy a large amount you can try samples. Big Hugs Caryl Laurie,Where did you find the Mocha Cappucino Problend at? Do you only use water with it? I think I will give a new flavor a try. Thanks,> problend 55 has 55g protein per serving. Guest guest
, I would REALLY call the doctor if I were you and explain the feeling you get. You could have a stricture. They are fairly common. Guest guest
Hi. Been on vacation. I am just catching up on my 400+ messages in my inbox. I bought the Universal Vanilla Ice Cream protein powder. It is clean, and easy to swallow and digest, and does not leave any kind of aftertaste in my mouth. I got it from Vitalady.com. Hope you are doing better by now. Keep in touch. Robin Zemelmybrwneyes2005 wrote: Robin Zemel,I will listen and take all advice given, It's feels so good to hear from people who have been through this and have experienced the stuff I am going through. It's a scary feeling when you don't know what to expect. What protein have you been taking?I can't even manage to get over 30 grams of protein without feeling sick. How in the world are you getting 90 grams in? Is it a certain brand of protein you take or is it a combination with your food? Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.> > Here I am again with more questions...> > I'm a bit scared and nervous over the fact that I am 3 weeks and 4 > > days out of surgery and since yesterday, anything I eat has been > > hurting as it goes down.
