Guest guest
, That watch sounds exactly like what I need. I could use it know to remind me to exercise my joints so they don't stiffen up on me and then use it post op for adequate fluid intake. If I don't move every joint in my body atleast every 30 minutes they stiffen up and are so painful to move. At night I set my alarm clock 4 or 5 times a night just so I can remember to move around other wise I can't get out of bed. I am just getting started in the process to get approval. I was Denied 3 yrs. ago because of lack of medically documented weight loss attemps. If I knew then what I know now I would have pursued the insurance thing a lot sooner. Please send me an email with any info you have regarding where I can purchase one of those watches. My joints thank you kindly for this posting. God be with you B. --- ontheedge eontheedge@...> wrote: > hi all. i know i posted once before about the watch > that i was going to > get, the one with 16 alarms and 'training' mode that > i was going to set > to buzz me every fifteen minutes to remind me to > drink water. > > well, i've had the watch for a while now and have > been using it VERY > successfully. i thought before i tried this that if > i had a vibrating > alarm going off every fifteen minutes i would want > to kill someone, but > fifteen minutes is surprising long and it doesn't > bother me at all. > sometimes i find myself taking a drink of water and > i don't realize > until after the fact that i was responding to the > 'buzz'. this must > happen many times a day without me noticing it. the > first few days i > was very conscious of it and i waited for the alarm > to go off, but i > quickly forgot about it and it has made it EXTREMELY > easy to drink the > recommended quantity of water. > > i am pre op, so i know drinking is much easier for > me. but an oz of > water would be a few sips, and an oz every fifteen > minutes is 1/2 cup, > the amount recommended for post ops. also, you can > set it to buzz every > ten minutes if that would make it easier, and you > set the start and end > times so it's not buzzing in the middle of the > night. i would > definitely recommend this watch for anyone having > trouble getting it the > fluids. it's worth a try! i love it. plus the 16 > alarms can remind to > take vitamins, eat meals, take walks, stretch, > whatever one wants to > schedule for the day. pretty cool! > > erika > 5'2 " , 281.5#, bmi 52 > surgery date 7.30.01, or as soon as i'm called. > dr. herron > > > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >
