Hi Donna -

I had my first consult with Dr. K April 17. You will love him and his staff - all are warm, caring, patient. Don't be afraid to ask questions. They'll keep answering until you understand everything. I also requested a tour of the hospital, which they did for me.

I live in Oakland. Where do you live? Because of the distance I won't be making too many support group meetings. But this internet support is fabulous. Any questions, concerns, problems - they get answered.

Anyway, good luck with your consult. I'll be thinking about you.

Dr. Keshishian. If she ever wants to just check it out, the support

meetings are At Delano hosp. (Delano Regional Medical Center) in the

Zacharias Conference Center. The second Tuesday of each month at

6:00 pm. She will always be welcome, a great chance to meet Dr. K

plus some of the staff and " switch brothers and sisters " . Believe

it or not, good things are happening in Delano and the word is

getting out fast.

Thanks, Jo. LOL! She doesn't know she's getting WLS yet. She's heavier than me and having alot of physical problems. She just emailed me that she's back on Weight Watchers for her heart. I'll be seeing her in July and when she sees how thin I"ll be that's when I'll drop it on her. She needs this surgery more than I do and I hope she'll see that dieting isn't going to work for her. She's alot older than me, 64 yrs, so I hope she doesn't wait too long!
