Doug,

Isn't this surgery a " wonder " that God has blessed us with! It has lifted

life long burdens for so many. Your story really moved me and also helps me

to continue to look at life from a positive angle. Life is so good isn't it!!

I was one year post op as of yesterday and have been blessed with a smooth

recovery and transition through this surgery.

Your story brought tears to my eyes. I, too, want to participate in

life again instead of letting it pass by! Your words are

encouraging! Congrats on your stupendous weight loss, but more

importantly, for using this " tool " to regain your life back!

I realized that I have a great life. A life worth living and I am so appreciative of what my Doc has done for me. I am finally happy with myself. I love life.

This surgery is a LIFESAVER. And as I was once told, the surgery is not about our loss but its about our gains...I have gained a long life with my family. Thanks to the MAN upstairs and the other MAN, Doc Gagner, I am so grateful.

Your friend in weight loss surgery

I cried like a baby reading this post Doug, thanks so much for sharing it.

I know it will happen for me too.

Sometimes now I just look at my kids ( all 8 of them ) and feel such pain because I don't have the energy to do anything with them.

I am so thankful for people like you who have been given a second chance at life after this surgery.

May God continue to bless you Doug.

Doug-

It was so wonderful reading your story. I am two months post-op today and I

already feel this way. I have lost 42 pounds and on this beautiful, warm,

sunny day I actually went for a walk with my husband. It was not a chore or

painful, just very relaxing. What a miracle to have 42 less pounds to haul

around. I got misty just thinking about how my life will get better and

better.

Thanks again for sharing!

Doug,

I loved your letter!

I'm still preop, but even just knowing that things are going to get

better have helped me. I'm more interested in-- well, EVERYTHING!

I've been working in my flowerbeds, planting bulbs, digging out shrubs

I don't want, working on my house.. Life is just GOOD.

Thanks for reminding me that I need to say so!

Hugs,

Liane =)

Doug,

That was one of the most beautiful stories I have ever read. I sat here balling like a pathetic baby!! My daughter came in here (who is 5 1/2) and asked me why I was crying. I told her it was because I had just read something beautiful. Then she said, "But Mommy, shouldn't that have made you HAPPY?" This, of course, made me cry even harder!!! I tried to explain to her that sometimes in life beautiful things can make you cry, too. Right afterward, my 3 year old came in with ink all over her face. My 5 year-old looked at me and said, "Mommy, now THAT should make you cry"!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing that with us.
