I remember that in beginning of my symptoms one of the GI's I visited prescribed Imodium and read on the leaflet that it's not good to be given to people with UC and Crohn's. I might be wrong but it's not hurt to be more cautions.It was something about the sudden constipation that may occur and possible perforation.Really, I don't want to scare anyone, but this made a great impression to me afterwords when I was diagnosed with UC. How licensed GI can prescribe this when not knowing what exactly is my problem.Just my two centsYana I have a friend whose daughter has crohn's and is trying SCD.
