Guest guest
Shell, Thanks for the congratulations. Yeah, I've been really really busy this past year, so I haven't posted here much... You know how it is when you're an " old-timer " (I'll be 3 years postop in September). I love the new folks and support them in my heart. But I have answered the Top 25 Questions ( " why does chicken make me gag? How much calcium should I take? When will my hair grow back? " Etc.) about 2500 times, so forgive me if I let other newer folks take up the slack. In the past year: A close friend (my ex-husband) had cancer and I helped him and his wife deal with chemo & radiation (he's now in remission), my mother died, and my 3-year relationship ended after Tim came on the scene. Good thing I have the pouch to remind me to be sane with food. I look back at my weight records and I realize that I've been in my goal weight range, and the same clothing size (size 6), for 19 months! That's a life record for me. Even on OA, I could never maintain for more than 3 weeks. The present moment is all there is; each second is like a dollar. Every day we wake up, our " bank account " is full: Provided we live 24 hours, we get to spend $86,400.00. But at the end of the day, the dollars are gone whether we use them or not. How will you spend this moment? Martha
