Guest guest
I was beginning to feel quite human again, and now, 11 days post-op, I am feeling terrific, walking around the block, down 14 pounds, and beginning to eat [small quantities of] all sorts of things. Doing great Steve, keep up the good work. Kathy Dr. Elariny June

Guest guest
Good luck, Lore! Keep some of those goals in mind, because the first few days after surgery, the discomfort may be greater than you ever expected, and this perspective will help you get through it all. I was not prepared for the amount of " incisional pain " or the way that my stomach spewed acid up my esophagus soon after the stomach awoke from anesthesia (keep your Prevacid or Prilosec handy, and have a bunch of Tums or equivalent within reach). The first two days post-op were brutal for me, and he pain meds did not succeed in covering over the pain. But, by day 3, I was beginning to feel quite human again, and now, 11 days post-op, I am feeling terrific, walking around the block, down 14 pounds, and beginning to eat [small quantities of] all sorts of things. Best, Steve --
Guest guest
Lorlei, My surgery is this Tuesday also. I, too, have been thinking about all the things I'll be able to do, some of which you've listed. My daughter is 14 and the one thing I want to do is go to the mall with her without being worn out from the car to the front door. We just moved to NC and I want to take walks in this beautiful neighborhood that we live in now. I want to be able to go upstairs to get my daughter instead of standing at the bottom and yelling for her. Simple things that others take for granted. I hope I never forget how this feels so I always feel new once I've lost the weight. Good luck with your surgery. I'll be thinking about you as we both enter the "other side".
