Guest guest
Jodi and folks,Would love to have recipes for savoury rather than sweet muffins. I've done ok w baking sweets: Orange cake, coffee cake, and love Pecan Waffles. I both miss having something on which to put butter, and have not ventured into SCD breads, and also, have to watch sweet intake for the usual reasons: hypoglycemia and yeastie beasties.Love reading this List.RuthRe: Coconut Spiced Apple Muffins ( Dairy Free)Posted by: "Jodi" jodah235@... jodah235Sun Sep 27, 2009 5:27 am (PDT)Yana!I love your picture!I "spiced" up the bread recipe as I don't want to add honey or baking soda.I added cardamon (This is the second time. It is nice but I am doing something wrong as I used 10 pods in my mortar and pestle and that is a lot and still it doesn't have so much cardamon flavor. I wonder what I am doing wrong? Should I roast the spices or cook in ghee?)I also added fresh nutmeg, lime rind, fresh cinnamon..I am thinking of maybe making a spicy one with some hot peppers or something. Maybe even dehydrate tomatoes and make a savory tomato/olive/hot pepper thing?JodiBack to topReply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via web post Messages in this topic (4)
