Guest guest
Janie, I am sorry you are suffering. My doctor has put me on Elavil for the sleeping concerns as well as depression, as well as he says that Elavil has a side effect that tends to help those in chronic pain. I don't know how this works, but it has worked with me. Of course, my weight has been titter tottering around. I'm not too overweight, but I'll lose and then I'll gain, and then I'll lose again. I go up 5 pounds, down 5 pounds, or something like that. Anyway, I weigh 130 pounds, I am 5' 4 " in height. But I have been really trying to watch my diet, not only for weight concerns but because my doctors have recommended this as well as physical therapy, my meds and relaxation techniques all for the pain therapy. In fact, my co-worker today has been laughing at me because I just now ordered a Veggie sub on wheat bread for lunch and as he left the office he joked, " Ok, you want a meat lovers sub with extra cheese, No veggies, right???? " Yea right. That's what I really do want lol, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do I guess. Well, I'm trying this out for at least 6 months and see what results I can get. We'll see. I do eat meat though. I ate rabbit last night for supper. Fresh from my dad's supply of bred ones, well now it's our supply since he dumped 8 rabbits on us yesterday. So now that's 2 rabbits to join with the 2 we already had. But we raise rabbits particularly to eat. We live on a farm. I also eat fish and chicken. I'm just trying to avoid red meats. It's sooooo hard to do. That juicy hamburger is calling my name. Sorry so long, just got carried away today on the typing. I had to stay home yesterday with my daughter and didn't get to enjoy the conversation on the internet since I only have it at work. a Faye --- zoomzoomboygirl janie.witcher@...> wrote: > Hi all-- I'm not sure if I have FMS yet -- waiting > on test results... > I was hoping that ya'll could help me. Guest guest
Everything that I read online and off and according to every single physical that I have been to has stated that there are no blood tests or MRI, ultrasounds, ect that can confirm FMS. The only confirmation that I am aware of is the elimination of several other possible causes as well as the 18 out 18 trigger points. If there is some new authentic date that says otherwise, I for one would certainly be interested in being knowledgeable about it. Thanks, Jim " Someday I will fly away and leave all of this to yesterday " Re: Hello? janie wrote, > Hi all-- I'm not sure if I have FMS yet -- waiting on test > results... > I was hoping that ya'll could help me. Guest guest
The only other " test " that I know they performed on my is a ton of x-rays, over 100 to be exact. That is how they determined that I have osteoarthritis and psoriatic arthritis as well. No wonder my head is in cloud most of the time. And to think at one time I managed 25 people in a multi-billon dollar company. My how life can change in a instant. Jim " Someday I will fly away and leave all of this to yesterday " Re: Hello?
