.. it was just BAM!, and you're there right then.

like i said before, i never want to repeat this test.

Wow...that would be horrible. I hope no one thinks of that for me...LOL At least its over now. When ever I have to do something I think is going to hurt or be horrible I try to focus on things like...just think tomorrow I'll be saying it was yesterday...and I just find a way to get thru it. I'm glad you made it and hopefully will never have to do that again!

My mother had this test before. She described it almost exactly as you did.

Pretty scary. Some type of passive stress test. Hope I never have to have

it either!

Dear ,

I've heard of this test and just hearing from someone

who had it made me scared to death of it! I sympathize

with you! Glad you're through it and hope you never

have to go through that again! Sincerely, Angel

Marcia -- that's Persatine? I am having the dreaded stress test Tuesday and Wednesday (the second day is the 4 hour day in cardiology, so I assume that is the day they are panning to shoot me up). I will really emphasize that I have only taken my blood pressure meds, AND NOT MY ALLERGY MEDS, so maybe they will use that one on me too. Not looking forward to sudden tachycardia.

Cindy,

I had the same stress test last week. Shot me up with with Persantine (they

use something else, Ducomine(?) for people with asthma or other breathing

difficulties;it's supposed to be much harder, and takes longer, than

Persantine). They told me I would get dizzy or nauseous, that I might feel

pressure-but it didn't happen! I was watching the monitor and the tracings

changed, got closer together & a little more jagged, but no discomfort. The

only discomfort I felt was the pain of that d---ed blood pressure cuff

tightening (I hate that!). I think even the Dr. and techs were surprised. I

hope I didn't fail the test! I'm sure that someone would have said something

by now if something had gone wrong, don't you!
