Guest guest
: I believe I read that while he doesn't normally reduce the size of the stomach he does if the patient strenuously requests it. I would say to discuss it with him. He may convince you that his way is best or he may agree that a stomach resection is best in your case. I certainly wouldn't think this would be a reason to change surgeons. Regards. Guest guest
Well I am somewhat on a search for a surgeon. The reason why I am leaning to Buchwald is more convinience. I live in Chicago, and while there are no DS surgeons here, My family lives in MN. So, if he doesn't perform the surgery the way that I am looking for I will go there. If I didn't want to be picky about the Dr I went to and the type of procedure performed, I would simply go to Dr Alverdy and have the RNY done. I choose this surgery for its benefits. The fact that it reduces the stomach without making it a pouch, the fact that the PValve is still in place, etc. The same reasons why most of you choose it. But if I can't get what I want there, I will go somewhere else, I will just have to stay at a hotel. --- Joe Frost joefrost@...> wrote: > : > > I believe I read that while he doesn't normally > reduce the size of the > stomach he does if the patient strenuously requests > it.
