I have had UC for 4 years, pretty good now with SCD diet and Lialda. My question

is regarding protein shakes. I lift weights a few times a week and always

enjoyed the extra protein from protein shakes. Are any of them OK? There are

lactose free whey protein isolate shakes with only 1 gram of carbs? Any one have

a advice, experience, or suggestions?

Not a one is legal.

I do 2-3 hours of core-strengthening exercises and then an hour of

swimming three timesd a week. I eat a good breakfast of protein with a

small amount of carbs first, and then, when I'm done, I have a good snack

of mostly protein and healthy fats.

You can make (and carry in a thermos) great smoothies with yogurt or

DCCC, added eggs, some avocado and/or banana, spices, and get good, high

quality protein, not that processed whey junk.
