Guest guest
Hi Cathy, Actually I didn't discuss it much with anyone but my husband, who goes in on Tuesday and I should follow right after. I actually liked not talking to many people, I went to class, learned the truth, and now after the fact, I will be well informed about truth rather than fiction, paranoia, whatever. I also know that things happen, if I get a cold it is postponed, by not mentioning it, nobody is traeting me like a science project. It is nobody's freakin business how much I eat, what I eat, or if I dump. They didn't ask to weigh my food before surgury, it's none of their business afterwards either. I realise that sound grouchy, but in reality I am by far one of the most outgoing people in the world. But my friends will be my friends, and co workers will be coworkers..... nothing should change. One guy at work did have surgury about one year ago, I did chat with him, after assuring him that he was my friend before, would still be regardless and if I ever get too "ask-y" my feeling would not be hurt if he told me so. He was the brunt of insensitive co workers who would ask in the midst of a crowd "so how much have you lost? What did you weigh? How much more do you need to lose? Do you throw up?" I decided right then and there not to say anything before or after to people like that..... I won't be rude, but it's none of their business. That way I won't listen to everyone's horror stories about botched surguries, urban legends or what I shuld have tried first. That is my two cents about it. Best wishes on your future! Guest guest
Hi Pam, First of all, if you are planning on RIDING , and you don't have tickets, forget it. They've been sold out for months. If you do have tickets, don't worry too much about the walk from the parking lot. There is a little shuttle train that goes from the parking area to the depot. How old is your son? There are a fair number of activities that you can sit and watch him on, such as one of those bouncy houses, a hay bale maze, etc. Depending on how limited you are, take a cane. This will encourage people to let you sit down when you need to, etc. If you have one with the attached seat that folds down, so much the better. Enjoy! flo boss wrote: >Eleanor, I will be taking my son to in Roaring >Camp next week-end, and am very nervous as I do not >ambulate well. About how far are the trains from the >parking lot?
