Guest guest
I just had my 1st visit - but all he did was a lil machine to my arm with each bag of food - have you felt better eliminating what he says??? he's testing his fungals ,yeast stuff next time but he didn't mention testing different areas - colon etc??????What exactly did he do to test you? You said he hooked up a machine or something? It sounds a lot different from my experience. I always get a good gut feeling about the foods that he says are okay, and I believe him. If you aren't getting a good feeling about how the tests are working, maybe your doc is doing it weirdly..or maybe it just doesn't work for you? Guest guest
Thanks for the explanation A. I have seen Wayne Dyer use this with music--a CD his son had. I wonder if it's possible to do at home. I don't know the points thoughl...off to google it. Not sure if I'd get accuracy because of the 'wish' factor. Interesting about the pecanbutter v. brazilnut. Would seem like brazilnut would be a lot harder but I haven't tried it. Guest guest
which I can NOT tolerate but he said since I haven't had them it wouldn't show properly -so that's my update - any thoughts for replacement foods ??? i figure remove dairy for now and see but wouold you all replace stuff you don't react to???? just curious thanksI dunno. This whole thing seems fairly mystical to me.How does it work? Why does it work? Guest guest
One of the mods mentioned macadamia nutbutter is easy to digest for her. I would love to try this but haven't found it at WF. Does anyone have a good source? Agree with you on the brazil nuts. I can eat DW almond flour (very fine) or pecan butter but that's it and not much of it at once lol. I would really like to check out this muscle testing--may save a lot of pain. I would probably take something I know I can't eat to test it--like watermelon or eggplant. Debbie 40 cd

Guest guest
How does it work? Why does it work? I'd want more of aconcrete explanation before I started changing my wholediet around.I agree. It has to do with the energy meridians in your body. When a food enters your energy field, it reacts to it. The muscle testing works because when something isn't good for you, it clogs or messes up your meridians, which leads to the weaker muscle signal. That's how I understand it anyways. Guest guest
So are the good, neutral, and bad foods permanent? Or does it change based on how well/bad you feel?Well, it's sort of like a food sensitivity thing. It just tests to see if the particular food it good for my body at the time. It can definitely change over time, just like many people on SCD loose their food sensitivities and can introduce new foods. If it's a set in stone thing, does that mean the good foods work even if you're in a flair? Or only if your body is in "normal" condition?I'm not sure..we would have to test those same foods while I was in a flare. I guess you could say I'm in a flare now, but I think it's die off, so I'm not sure if that counts. Peace =)Alyssa 15 yoUC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)No meds!
