Guest guest
Awesome Tina!!!!!! Weren't you the one who asked about fish, by the way? I find that baking my fish en papillote makes it soft enough to tolerate. What I do: I use parchment paper (you can use foil, although parchment is better), and I put the fish in the center of the paper. I fold the ends over and over, and then fold the sides over the fish, to create a little envelope. I put in chicken broth, and a little white wine and herbs...and some julienne veggies. Then I close it up. I put it on a baking sheet, and cook it at 325 for about 10 minutes (depending upon the size of the fish). It steams the fish, and makes it very soft. while I love grilled fish...I think at the point we're at...the fish may be a little too tough, and tough to digest that way...unless you are brilliant on the grill!! So, what's your routine? Exercise...food...what are you doing? And where were you at 2 weeks? Just want to get some guidance... Guest guest
My math sucks. It's 26 pounds since surgery day. I'm still a happy camper! I did ask about the fish. I've never tried it that way. My daughter and I are the only ones that eat fish so we don't get it too often. I'll try that next time. My neighbor brought over salmon when I was 2 weeks out and it was a little dry and tasted horribly fishy. Maybe it'll be better now. At 2 weeks out....let's see....I was up to 64+ ounces of water a day. I started exercising (doing water aerobics) and I was super tired. From week 2 to week 3 I only lost 2.5 pounds. I napped every single day and slept 10 hours at night. Fortunately, that passed within the week and I was back to no napping and going from 7:30 am until 10:30 pm and exercising a minimum of 4 days a week. This past week I've had some issues with food in general. Nothing sits quite right. Not sure what is up with that. Today has been pretty good. I ate 1 bite too much of my chicken breast at lunch time and it came right back up (the extra bite). Not pretty! I eat lots of chicken, Hood's yogurt, and have had a bit of ground beef seasoned like taco meat (yummy!). My lunch varies from chicken to sliced luncheon meat with cheese (microwaved and eaten in a little roll). SF Popsicles are still my friend and I eat them a couple of times a week. I had a couple last night (I was way low on my water consumption yesterday). It's easy to over-do it...listen to your body and you will be great. I didn't listen so well a few days and I paid for it. If you have any great ideas for meals, I'd love to see them. I'm a little bored with my current meals. Tina > Well, today is 4 weeks out for me so I did my weekly weigh in.
