Guest guest
Holly, I work in xray, doing ct enterography and the Radiologist here thinks it would be nearly impossible to find that. I suggest you get the report from your Dr and take it to another Dr. Cysts generally dont develope on tubes like fallopian tubes but are really common on ovaries, maybe he was confused!!!! jena This is pretty OT, but I was having a hard time finding anything on google, and there always seems to be someone on this group who has had experience with the myriad of medical problems we all seem to go through. Anywho, I just listened to a message from my GI (a week old, so somehow it got overlooked). She said my CT Enterograhy showed a fallopian tube cyst and that I should see either my PCP or GYNO about it. Is this a bad thing? I don't seem to have any pain, so hopefully it's nothing I have to worry about. My googling mostly turned up stuff about ovarian cysts, but not fallopian tube cysts. Anyone know if these things are dangerous, or is it something that most women have at some point or another? Thank you :-)HollyCrohn'sSCD 12/01/
Guest guest
I had a cyst on the fallopian tube almost 20 years ago. I did have some pain so it was removed by keyhole surgery. In fact, my gynacologist after said that the op wouldn't have been necessary if I hadn't had the pain. That's all I can remember about it I'm afraid. Guest guest
I've never heard of a fallopian tube cyst, and usually something like that would be painful- ectopic pregnancies are when they get a certain size. You can get corpus luteal cysts-which are ovarian but close to the fallopian tubes- during your cycle which is normal. I don't know how old you are- (pre or post menopause) but it could be an ectopic pregnancy- which grows in the fallopian tubes instead of the uterus. The best thing to do is see your gyno for a check up. A lot of these cysts just go away after a few cycles, an ectopic pregnancy is more serious. Guest guest
Thanks Jena, it's good to know they could be wrong! I had the GI fax the info to my gyno, who I see next month. And thanks for your experience too ! PJ, I'm 34 and there's zilch change of pregnancy. I don't have any pain, so I'll try not to worry about it until I see the doc next month. In other news, I really feel like I'm in limbo right now! I had to cancel with my surgeon AGAIN due to my PCP STILL not giving me a referral. And his staff won't return calls to my GI, my surgeon, or me. I miss my old PCP (who dropped my insurance carrier). His staff was really on the ball, always called me back quickly, and worked great with all my other doctors. So now I'm supposed to see the surgeon on the 31st. I'm not holding my breath.
