HI EVERYBODY!!!!!!

This is Joann in Mobile very happily reporting to you another safe and

uncomplicated switch! This is my tenth day out and I've been trying to go

thru all the old e-mail and find out how everybody else is doing but there's

just too much mail accumulated while I was in .

I had my surgery on April 20 with Dr. Kim in Ocean Springs. Dr. Booth was

supposed to have assisted but how do I know!?! I ended up being lap,

hand-assisted which I call a compromise. My only complications were caused

by my own fears, not knowing and letting my mind think of the worst. I do

have this to offer for pre-ops, however. If your drain ever starts just

pouring out (mine had to be emptied about three times in three hours, very

scary) it doesn't have to mean something terrible. I finally got word from

Dr. Kim that he had to irrigate so much that when I got up and moving the

drain just found a new pouch of water and was doing it's job.

Thanks to everyone for all the little tips that I took into surgery that did

help me . Knowing why some things happen helped me. Another things, my

blood pressure really was high after and they assured me it was just from the

trauma to my body. Since I've been home I don't think it's been high once.

Every day I get a little better. Today is the first day that my head doesn't

feel woozy. Thank you GOD!

If anyone would feel like mentioning some things I can eat I would appreciate

it. I'm getting tired of the shakes. I've had an egg that I had to divide

into two meals. I could have eaten it all but was afraid it was too much for

my tummy. I've had some cheese. My directions were anything soft, no bigger

than the tip of my little finger, and only 30cc per 30 minutes. I'm afraid

my appetite is back already, at least my mental appetite is. I'm ready for

OA now. Thanks, everyone, I'll be back in touch. Lots of Love, Joann in

Mobile

To Cheri, I left you a message on your home phone machine the first night I

got home. Thanks for thinking about me.

To Dawna, I see you posting. Did you do great????
