Just to clarify. Yes, I do understand that. BUT: polysaccharides are a NO on SCD, and cocoa has polysaccharides beyond the small amounts in legal vegetables. Also -- and I hate to throw this at YOU again -- I've worked with apparently legal cocoa and it causes MAJOR reactions. Plus, from a standpoint of the Lindt bars with 85% cocoa or 99% cocoa, I tried those after some years and determined that they stopped my weight loss dead in its tracks. Since my obesity issues are related to my gut issues, I have to conclude that in some way, the cocoa feeds the bad bacteria. So, it's not just " Elaine's attitude, " here. I mean the Lindt bars are processed, right? Just checking.. The Lindt bars ARE processed. However, plain old ground cocoa nibs not only stopped weight loss in its tracts, it caused mega-runs. I'll keep looking for the other article on composition of cocoa, and if I can find it, I will re-post it. The closest SCD-legal thing to chocolate are the " chocolate " cookies I made last week.
