Guest guest
Judi, I miss them, the list is soooo nice, no trouble going in. If you are my littermate we can cause lots of trouble at Holy cross hospital. Guest guest
Hi Robynn. I think I'm a couple of weeks ahead of you. I know, for myself, I could do way more in the beginning and then at about 2-3 weeks, I got really tired and wanted to sleep a lot and walking to the mailbox was a chore. Tomorrow I'll be 4 weeks out and I'm feeling much better again. I did water aerobics 4 days last week (M- T-W-TH) and by Thursday, I was pooped again. My sister said this is completely normal (she is 3+ years out) and remembers it well. Some days you feel like you have lots of energy and other days, not so much. Today I feel great! That doesn't mean I'll feel great tomorrow. Basically, in all of that rambling, you are completely NORMAL (in my opinion). Guest guest
Thanks, Tina...that helps to know! So, how's your weight loss going? Another area where i don't know if I'm normal or not. I've lost 14 lbs. by my scales since surgery (a total of 40). I'll be two weeks in two days...so I'm hoping I'll have lost 15 lbs. I have no idea whether that's in keeping with, if most people have lost more or less or what. I know that every person's body is different...I just have always been a very slow loser, and I'm curious as to whether I'll be a slow loser in this, as well... RobynnTina wrote: Hi Robynn. Guest guest
According to Richmond's scale, at exactly 2 weeks post-op I had lost 15.7 pounds. Week 3 I only lost 2.5 pounds. Week 4....I'll know tomorrow. As of last Tuesday, I'm down a total of 56 since Orientation. I'm hoping my weight loss picked up this past week. I was never hungry on Stage II...in fact, I could care less if I ever ate. Now, on Stage III, I don't know if you'd call it hunger or not, but my tummy kind of feels like it might be empty. It's not growling or anything just feels kind of weird. I've had a hard time with food the past couple of days. Nothing seems to sit just right. I feel kind of sick/nauseated (sp?) all the tim. Who knows! I just can never figure out what to eat! Let me know what you find good on Stage III. Maybe you'll think of something I can't seem to! Sounds like you are coming along just fine. Dr. Baggs said the same thing to me about rubbing Vitamin E into my scars (hard). They look much better now. They were kind of reddish at 2 weeks. They are finally starting to look like they are healing. Did he give you the okay to swim, exercise, etc.? (no abdominals though) Tina > > > > > > > > > > On September 24, the ASBS Foundation (The American > > > > Society > > > > > > for > > > > > > > > > > Bariatric Surgery) will hold the third annual > > > nationwide > > > > > > Walk > > > > > > > > From > > > > > > > > > > Obesity. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > For information on the San Francisco walk, contact > > > Lynn > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > at: > > > > > > > > > > ljohnson@n... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > 2250 St, 3rd Fl > > > > > > > > > > San Francisco, CA 94117 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > or go to the ASBS web site: > > > > http://www.walkfromobesity.com/ > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Uncle Timmy -236 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
He did...I've been walking, anyway. He told me no Pilates yet, but I can go back to lifting weights...but no more than 20 lbs. (although he said I can leg press more). I didn't ask about swimming, because I'm more of an elliptical girl. I think we may be on par. I can see having lost 15.7 lbs. by Wednesday. Wow, down 56 lbs! That's great! You must have lost more than I did beforehand. I only lost 26. But, hey, I have a total of 40, so that's a good thing! My friend just brought me some ratoutille...I think I'll have that and a small piece of salmon for dinner. (one ounce of each.) For lunch, I had a piece of lunchmeat, and a tenth of an avocado. (slightly under an ounce.) I won't do the avocado often, as it is high in fat...but it's monsaturated fat, and it is high in Vitamin A (good for the skin.) I did absolutely fine with that. For this week, I only bought fish, and a little bit of ground turkey. I bought a few summer fruits that are overly ripe. ( apricots, because they are very soft). I didn't buy any vegetables, because I knew the ratoutille would last...and also, I plan to try onions with my fish (did onions bother you? They aren't excluded, so I'm wondering how I'll do with garlic and onions.) I'll let you know how I do... Sounds like you are doing marvy fab!! Good work, girl! Guest guest
I lost 36 pounds prior to surgery, and 20 in 3 weeks since surgery. I'll update you on how much I lost this past week tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I lost about 5 pounds this last week. That'll make 25 pounds in 4 weeks. Not bad, not bad, eh? How'd the fish go? I tried Salmon and I thought it was totally disgusting. I use to like it but it was so fishy tasting. Yuck! What is ratoutille? I'm not a walking girl. I prefer to swim (keeps me cool since I overheat way too easy). I have a TreadClimber at home that I use too. I crank the fan on right in front of my face and wear just a sports bra and some shorts. Something I'd never to at California Family Fitness. The elliptical trainer I tried kicked my ass. I couldn't even do 5 minutes without feeling like I was dying. It totally killed my knees too. I felt very uncoordinated. Not a machine for this chick. Guest guest
You crack me up! My sister says she needs a crane to roll her babies up too. I'm getting there. They are just so ... small! Yikes! Toning I'm doing...my skin just hangs there. It hasn't retained any elasticity at all. Sigh. My sister says it takes awhile for the skin to kind of tighten up but I don't know. We'll see! Maybe we could get a group discount rate for boob jobs? LOL! Tina > > > Good morning, I just wanted to post that I > > achieved > > > another goal of mines.
