Guest guest
Thank you Jill - that didn't work for me either so I'm probably doing something wrong. I'll wait and let my husband give it a try tonight for me. Meanwhile, have you or anyone else had any salad yet?? I made a beautiful one last night for company and now there's half a bowl left over so of course I really want some. And I have some ham and turkey and cheese so I thought I could make a baby chef's salad. What my Doctor mentioned was no raw veggies like broccoli yet. I'm four weeks post-op today. Should also mention I noticed the scale stopped moving on Monday or Tuesday. I'm glad someone wrote last night about four weeks being the usual plateau time. Hope it doesn't last too long. I'm still not convinced I won't be the only one this surgery doesn't work for. After all, that first 30 pounds could be surgery stress or something. LOL Thanks for any mention of salads. Guest guest
Joann: I had lettuce at 3 weeks post-op. And, I've had raw minced celery and onion in tuna. Lettuce is pretty soft. I've had all kinds, iceberg, romaine, arugala, frisee, spinach, etc..I say GO FOR IT! I also had blue cheese dressing!! a tiny bit, less than 1 tsp. I eat small amounts of salad. Like 4 bites, or I wrap up tuna in a piece, or roll up arrugula and red onion in a turkey slice. I also had 1 small bit of coleslaw last night. The vinegar kind, not mayo. It was pretty good. Just chew. I think some stuff is hard on the digestive system-like raw carrots. Good luck tho! I cant believe the wlspostopeating thing didnt work. Hmmm. Sorry. Well how did you join this group? I guess you have to do it the same way.
