Guest guest
According to ‘Hortus Third, A Concise Dictionary of Plants’ Rumex is called Sorrel or Dock. Rumex are in the Polygonaceae family. More than 100 species of perennial herbs. Some are grown for greens and one as a source of tannin. I have no idea if it is SCD ok. Guest guest
Yana--I only know Rumex acetosa, common sorrel. It is used in salads similar to French sorrel, Rumex scutatus. They are greens that I have had in the past and I only know that like spinach, they are high in oxalic acid which can precipitate a gout attack or cause kidney stones. Since it is like spinach, I don't see why you couldn't eat it. Terry is that legal? I don't know the names of these vegetables in English so excuse me for the Latin LOLThey are similar to spinach but I want to be sure if they are legalRumex patientiaandRumex acetosa Ant suggestions with these? And it would be good for me to finally know their names - 2 benefits!TIAYana
Guest guest
Thank you Terry,I was thinking the same, but since I'm on SCD, I look with different eyes to the food. It's always better to check with others first.Yana
