Bobbi jo,

It wouldn't hurt to take a stool softner. When I was

an xray technologist , we handed them out to our

patients. If you drink plenty of water, that will help.I

ate prunes after I had mine.I know with the older

barium it was a possibility of setting up ,but I'm not

sure at the moment.I have been a radiation therapist

for 12 yrs ,so I'm not sure about the new barium.

Good luck,

Bobby Jo,

I was told I may need an over the counter laxative and to double up o

the water intake, but I was fine. I didnt need the laxative and I

always try to drink a lot of water anyway so I had no problems. Good

Luck!
