Eileen,

There is no such thing as SCD compliant Armour. It cannot be compounded. What

you probably get is a T3/T4 combo. Naturthroid is better for us as it has less

fillers than armour. Recently there was a post that Armour changed their

formulation and now includes corn starch (of all things YUCK)

The rest I will reply in your email.

> i take :1 thyroid pill

Is this sustained release?

> l-tyrptophan 2 twice a day

This seems to make a major difference for you, right?

> l-glutamine 3x/day

You like this one too, right?

> acidophilus 3/day

> 2 s boullardi twice/day

I'd keep these in.

> phos choline 2/day

This one is most probably soy derived. Unless you feel it is doing a major plus

like giving you a boost of mental clarity- I would hold off on this one.

> omega 3 4/day

This is good.

> salt pills 6/day

Important for you..

> 1 multi

Does it agree with you?

> 1 biotin

Does it help your hair and nails? Once you get Thyroid stuff under control you

shouldn't even need this. So, I would put this on the back burner in the near

future too.

> 2 zinc

Zinc is important, which type of zinc are you taking?

OK..

> CLO

Which CLO? This is a food basically, not synthetic so IMO you're good.

> calc/mag 3/day

For the charlie horse stuff?

There is D3 made from wild salmon might be a better choice. Do you think you

can sit outside about 15 minutes a day?

> 3 digest gold

Do you feel it makes a difference?

You take this daily? For how long?

Ok.

For allergies too?

Sure. So you take 40 pills not 40 different types of supplements?

Body bio has some great liquid ones. I am wondering maybe you should look at

their Selenium and Zinc.

I'm not a doc, but I worry about all the fillers feeding the yeast and how you

absorb all of this stuff. It is an awful lot.

What's the update with looking into LDN for you? You know it may really help

your thyroid get those numbers up and I don't think you would need so much of

this stuff.

Eileen,

You should ask him if it is actual desiccated thyroid or is it a T3/T4 combo.

From my knowledge there is now way to get Legal desiccated thyroid. I also

researched this a bit. As desiccated thyroid contains T1, T2 and calcitonin

(good for our bones) that T3/T4 does not contain.

I thought I was taking armour for about 18 months LOL.

You can also look at the label and read the dosage- that may give a clue?

Ohh you have an increase in heart palps?

label just says scd thyroid and 30 mg - no other label - but i will check for

sure - my heart has been irregular for 6 months or so and it's not an increase

just that some light-headedness accompanied it plus I always have low BP so doc

said get all checked again - 2nd opinion and a specialist and all and then we'll

increase if all is clear I guess

What kind of magnesium is it? A lot of the cal/mag combos use magnesium oxide,

which isn't absorbed by the body as well as other forms, like malate or

gylcinate. That's the main reason I get them separately, because I had given up

on finding a combo I liked. Also, I recently changed to a calcium supplement

that uses a combo of citrate, malate, and carbonate to see if I prefer a blend.
