Guest guest
Me, myself, if I start obsessing on a certain food, I'm better off indulging (just a tiny bit) than continuing to think about it. If I just keep telling myself that I can't have it, I can't have it, I can't it, I HAVE it and in HUGE quantities. Moderation is the key! Guest guest
I completely agree - that is exactly how I am. If I just have a taste of what I want when I really want it - I can usually get away with taking a bite of a ho-ho. If I try to fend off the urge to have it - I usually end up eating the whole box! LTLJSMOM Orientation: 284.5 Nutrition Clas...? I'll let you know on Tuesday!! Guest guest
Hi Pamela b its hard that is for sure ................prior to surgery when that happened i would try to have something else i liked that wasnt as bad, like instead of chips and dip, i would do popcorn, or beef jerkey, sweet stuff was the worst, i would get trader joes items that were low fat or low sugar but mostly i would try to talk myself out of it which didnt always work................after surgery its head hunger and that is pretty bad but not as bad cause even though your head wants it and you might even try it , usually i dont want it or like it or couldnt possibly even eat it.......................................good luck beef jerkey, light potato chips, sugar free popcyles pretty much got me through the rough spotsPamela B wrote: Can anyone share with me what you did when all you think about is afavorite food? Guest guest
I have had success with this: when I am craving a food, I allow myself to have a taste of it, only when I have completed a goal. Like a couple of bites and then I pour salt all over it or throw it away. If I tell myself I " can't have it " it makes me want it more, so, if I can't make the craving go away, I'll set a goal that I have to meet. Makes the pleasure of the reward that much better. Hope it helps! Rory > > Can anyone share with me what you did when all you think about is a > > favorite food?
