hi all - I have son on scd now (yeast found in stool and slight speech delay)and he has liquid D once a day now -none pre-scdshould I start acid.. for him??? or s boullardi ??to try and firm him- or do wenot want to firm him up if it's all the "bad bugs" passing out of him???I would definitely add them!!! The probiotics won't interfere with the bad bugs passing out, I think they'll help, since they'll help repopulate the gut while the bad bugs are leaving. I've heard boulardii stops D, but in the good way, not in the interfering-with-natural-bodily-functions way. I think probiotics treat the cause, not the symptoms, so it's okay if the firm you up. I never got firm from them though.. Peace =)Alyssa 15 yoUC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)No meds! (except for the stupid iron pill I have to take that is SO illegal)
