Guest guest
That's terrible. But believable! They add sugar to EVERYTHING!!! And school lunches are awful. I know people who eat a piece of pizza, a large container of fries. and a package of THREE LARGE cookies EVERY SINGLE DAY for lunch. I can't even imagine how their body's still function with all that garbage going in. Peace =) Alyssa 15 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008 SCD June 2009 (restarted) No meds! Guest guest
I guess that doesn't snock me. Prior to this diet (and even GFCF, in which we still used sugar but not nearly as much) I thought often how odd it was that practically everything my kids ate had the potential to contain sugar. Typical meal for an American 3 year old: peanut butter and jelly sandwich (all three contain sugar) canned fruit (sugar) juice (sugar) maybe a cookie (sugar)...and that mom thinks she is feeding that kid well because pb has protein!! the bread is whole wheat!! the fruit is good, right? Juice is full of vitamin C!! Oh, that cookie, well, he ate a good lunch, he can have a treat............................. I am off that cabbage truck for good now and I am so relieved. I know I am feeding my children high quality stuff and it shows...they are thriving and my son with ASD continues to make gains, to get healthier and more talkative and so much happier. This is good. Guest guest
The last 2 doctor's appointments I went to, 90% of the people in the waiting room were grossly overweight. I think some of them are making up for those of us who don't eat sugar. At one of these appointments, an overweight mother and daughter sat down next to me. The girl was maybe 12, and they were talking about her having pre-diabetes. That's just sad.
