Hi all - I picked Sandy G and her lovely daughter up yesterday

from the dietitian at Good Sam, thinking we were going to go out for a

late lunch. Her

appt w/ in the morning had not gone off, however and we had a

quick lunch and rushed back to s office for a 3PM appointment.

I had brought a book and was settling in the waiting room when they

said " Sandy wants you back with her " . So of course I went.

I have to say that Sandy was so prepared. She has a big notebook with

all her information in in, copies of the questions she was to ask along

with a copy for - this is a great idea (duh why didn't I think

of that).

Her daughter took notes and Sandy talked. She has a wonderful way of

bringing everyone into the conversation and even had laughing

along with her.

It was wonderfully informative for me...so much so that I went out and

canceled the appointment I had made for next week (so there is a 9AM on

the 17th out there!!).

One of the things that Sandy asked is how many of the lap DS

has done in her private practice. is it so far. However she did

" 25 or so " with Dr. Ren. And has 10-12 in the works.

I even got a picture of Sandy and Dr. that I'll post here.

After the appt, we went to my house and collected my DH and again went

out to eat.

A really lovely time was had by all, including DH.

Today we will do some lazy running around and they I'll take Sandy to

the airport...she had scheduled 2 days here just in case and it made

much sense. If you are coming from out of town, please consider

allowing yourself another day for 'just in case'.

take care all

Elle,

I'm glad Sandy and Dr. got along well and hit it off. That makes Dr.

that much more likely to go to bat for her if needed, even though Dr

said she 'isn't a fighter'.

Thanks for the update and we'll be swinging chickens! :)
