Guest guest
I have to confess, I don’t understand why you would take Entocort – a drug, and one with side-effects (and one which didn’t do anything positive for me, I might add) – rather than LDN, admittedly a drug, but one without bad side-effects, and one which will help your body heal your immune system, which none of the Crohn’s or Colitis drugs can do. Take more medicine? yes, I have looked into LDN and spoke to my doc about it. He is ok with me wanting to try it if things don't improve down the road. For now my goal is still no meds at all. So I will take the entocort to get this flare calmed down, and if this keeps repeating itself I will try the LDN - UC - 1 year SCD - 3.5 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet. Asacol - 4 pills 3 times a day - hopefully scd will help me get off these! No more Hydrocortisone or Prednisone! To: BTVC-SCD From: alcibiades@... It will get you off the other meds. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/lowdosenaltrexone/?yguid=19643 Mara i'm eating the other nut flowers with no reactions, and I would take sulfasaline but I am allergic to sulfa drugs, so i can't. I'm back on the entocort...we'll see how things go. - UC - 1 year SCD - 3.5 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet. Asacol - 4 pills 3 times a day - hopefully scd will help me get off these! Guest guest
Mara, There are still no long term studies about the side effects of LDN if one stays on it long term. I think the idea that it is a cure all and preventative is quite far fetched. Where is the data to prove such claims? Yes, I understand it helps the immune system.. But let's not overshoot here. There are many cofactors with disease. Jodi
