Guest guest
I have to confess, I don’t understand why you would take Entocort – a drug, and one with side-effects (and one which didn’t do anything positive for me, I might add) – rather than LDN, admittedly a drug, but one without bad side-effects, and one which will help your body heal your immune system, which none of the Crohn’s or Colitis drugs can do. Take more medicine? yes, I have looked into LDN and spoke to my doc about it. He is ok with me wanting to try it if things don't improve down the road. For now my goal is still no meds at all. So I will take the entocort to get this flare calmed down, and if this keeps repeating itself I will try the LDN - UC - 1 year SCD - 3.5 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet. Guest guest
BTW, if the issue is getting off LDN down the road when you are healed, I asked Dr. McCandless about that andshe said that there was currently no consensus on taking it indefinitely if you have crohn's or colitis amongsttreating physicians. The people tested in that U Penn (or was it Penn State)test were only put on it short term - and that was forCrohn's - so people do come off of it. She says she takes the kids she treats off of it as wellonce they are healed of many of their symptoms (theyare autistic kids - so I guess she does it for gut regulationand a host of other illneses.)Someone else who is very knowledgeable respondedthat people who have autoimmune diseases very oftenwill get another one later on - there's a propensity to develop more than one. So from that POV, staying onLDN for life lessens the possibility of that developingin the body. As well as being an excellent proactivedefense against developing cancer or parkinsons oralzheimers.
