Guest guest
Tina, you are NOT a freak of nature. I shave, but I get away with every other day. My mom did too, and when she got too sick to take care of it herself I shaved her. I really hadn't seriously thought of permanent hair removal. I had heard that electrolysis doesn't always do it permanently, but this lazer hair removal sounds like a good idea. Does it really work? Would it work on eyebrow hair and chin and upper lip? Maybe I'll think about that before I get to my tummy tuck & boob lift. Thanks, ladies for bringing up the subject. --Sandi > > > See, this is my problem with the reward system...I already did > get my teeth whitened, just because. Guest guest
Thanks Robynn, but last test showed I'm an estrogen machine. My " female pattern baldness " was diagnosed by biopsy at Kaiser in 1982, (when I was thin) when minoxodyl was first being tested at USC in L.A. I started using it when you could only get it with an RX. The doc's think the " hursuitism " (sp) under my chin and on my lower arms is obesity-related and not due to hormones, but checking again is a good idea. I never know what my body is up to, especially with peri-menopause on the horizon. It is nice to only find a stray gray hair once a month or two rather than plucking every day. thanks again for great caring info, Joyce pre-op, Fremont, Dr. Hahn VanPatten robynnsf@...> wrote: >Joyce, if you use Rogaine on your head, and have hair on your face, you probably have too much testosterone. Guest guest
I agree it will be funny for me, too; the hair on my head has thinned through the years, while my facial hair has gotten heavier. Reminds me of both my dad and hubby, and they got balder on top their chests and backs got harrier! LOL! I always thought of it as the hair slipped lower on their bodies!!! LOL! But, thanks for the tips about the place on Howe Avenue. I'll have to check on them. Have you ever checked to see about if Kaiser does the laser hair removal? --Sandi > > Hi Sandi, > I've benefitted from laser hair removal at Advanced Laser off Howe in Sac. (on Scrips?) Guest guest
I seem to remember my hair gettting thinner after my hysterectomy about 4 years ago. Then some more about 4 months after the WLS. Maybe it's the shock to the system that surgery does to you?? > > Hi Sandi, > I've benefitted from laser hair removal at Advanced Laser off Howe in Sac. (on Scrips?) Guest guest
That is funny! My hair is blonde, or really kind of grey by now maybe. Wonder if they'll be able to remove that. Guest guest
If I remember correctly, it was 4-5 hundred dollars for four or 5 sessions. I just signed up for lower legs, and extended bikini (which includes upper thigh). Good luck!!! Glad to help. IT has literally changed my life.
