HI Tammy,

I can feel you there. I developed an allergy about 4 years ago to tape. I had my fifth surgery and my skin didn't like tape any more. The right kind of tape was put on after surgery but when after the staples were removed the surgeon put those surgical strips and but the time I got home my skin was so irritated I didn't last very long with them on. When I carefully removed them it took my skin too. Since it wasn't the first time it happened I wasn't too worried about it. But as you say it was just one of the little pit falls.

Hello Miss Tammy,

Congrats on your 1wk. anniversary! Just be careful because the

benedryl is going to add more to the sleepiness but right now I think

you need to also get all the rest you can.

Heal well...

Hi Tammy,

Have all your bandages come off already? I've only had three come off

and the others seem to be stuck like glue and I'm not touching...

Sorry you're having such a bad time...but this too shall pass and

you'll feel fine.

All the gauze and tegaderm tape is all off but I have two steristrips still on. They kinda seem like glue also. One has an edge that is loose but it seems stubborn. hehe Regarding my allergic reaction I was precribed some hydrocortisone cream from Dr Baggs on Thursday and was told at bedtime I could take a double dose of benedryl and that night I still didn't sleep as well. Then today I decided I was going to go see my primary care Dr so I could have a professional look at them. He prescribed me some other cream that is suppose to be stronger and had me buy liquid loradatine to take by mouth. I used them both earlier today and they seemed to help some but when I took the liquid med I started getting hot and nauseus and had to lay down for a few minutes. This was sooo weird since I hadn't felt that from a medicine before. So a little bit ago I decided to take the liquid med again and

it did the same thing. Ugh I really don't like that feeling. I am no longer taking that!!!!!! Has anyone else had this happen?

Laurie,

You want that to be looked at asap!

Dr Baggs told me about an infected incision he just had to clear up.

It was't pretty. The sooner you get it taken care of the better.

Good luck!

Sorry this happened to you!

whew, now I don't have to worry about your infection.

Thanks for the input on your skin too.

I can see that I am saving money on food, but now if I have to spend

it all on lotions......Argh!

I will try to get up another 10oz as well.

Good luck to us!
