My best friend of 28 years came up from SoCal Friday night. Saturday

we did a bit of shopping and then went over to another friends house

where my friend taught us to belly dance. We danced outside under the

nearly full moon until almost midnight, surrounded by tall trees and a

ring of candles. They drank wine and I happily stayed with my water (I

was the DD after all). I spent Sunday after she headed home reading

and napping and making up my meals for the week.

That un- vanilla enough for ya?? :-)

Ooohhh...belly dancing by moonlight. Sounds more like a Mint Chip

weekend rather than vanilla.

I used to belly dance...sort of...back in the day. I used to

participate in Renaissance Faires, both big and small. At the small

faires, a woman I knew was a good dancer. She and I started our own

guild of Turkish dancers. We would set up an encampment and perform

on stage at the small faires. It was fun...lot's of pillows...and -

appropriately - I was the only man.

Sheikh Muhubbi...something or other. I can't remember the rest of

it.

you are such a sassy one, aren't you?

Friday went out on a double date with the husband and some friends.

We don't do this much so it was nice for us and the husband really

liked them so that helps. (he doesn't like much) Then I went to

Karaoke.

Saturday we had a picnic for our one year anniversary of our weekly

support group. It was great fun and we ate like kings. Ok, kings

that don't eat too much but it was great food and fun. That night I

went out with friends, yes to Karaoke again, and it was a blast. I

didn't get back home until 3:45 after having breakfast at Denny's.

God, it has been a hundred years since I went to Denny's after the

bar. *giggle*

Sunday we had a great day in San Francisco. We had 2nd row tickets

for the matinee of Les Mis at the Curran (sp?) Theatre. I need a

good cry from time to time and this was my 13 year old daughters

first time see it. My 5th. Husbands 4th. Yes, we are fans. Then

off to Max's on the Square for father's day dinner. It was

wonderful.

Now I am back to the daily grind and will be busy this week because

we are leaving for Las Vegas on Friday morning. It is a rush rush

trip and we aren't doing anything but visiting the in-laws. they

haven't seen me at this weight so this will be great fun. I also

love them and miss them. But we are driving down on Friday and back

on Sunday. We just call it family time, if it counts when the 13

year old is in the back with her MP3 player going in her head or

asleep. Yea, that is family time. :)

So did I have a good weekend? Si'! I did. Thanks for asking.

Sounds like fun though! Bet it's fun to belly dance! Now you'll have to

get one of those bejewelled girdles they wear and take on a new

career! Well maybe just a new hobby. LaWanda At 10:37 AM 6/20/05, you wrote:

Hmmm, I did faire north and south for 20+ years - can you say faire

brat?- Most of my friends dance and I just didn't have the courage in

me to try, but now :-) What a world has opened up!

exotic weekends, well................i did buy a large beautiful ginger plant and pot for the deck my husband just built, and i got two nice rocker/lounge chairs for the deck, they are so comfy,

i lugged it all in the truck to home, out of the truck and to the back yard and then the deck and surprised him for fathers day, he was impressed he loved it and we sat out there in our lounges soaking up the sun he a beer and I a light lemonaid. Friday I went and paid our house taxes because we forgot when we were on vacation and there went 1757.00 but we got a house over our heads, Saturday I cleaned the whole entire backyard, while my husband was in the front yard working on the motor home, he was replacing a solar panel so we can use things in the motorhome when we have to have the generator off at night, this is the nascar week and my sister and i are going to be camping at Infineon Raceway and he was making it ready for us.

Sunday the kids and myself took him to a sacramento rivercats baseball game and had fun and then my husband opened his gifts and we just hung out on the deck listened to some music and then he worked on the drip irrigation that we had disturbed putting in the pool/deck

exotic well not really, but fun and filled with a lot of things........................very satisfying though

But we are driving down on Friday and back on Sunday. We just call it family time, if it counts when the 13 year old is in the back with her MP3 player going in her head or asleep. Yea, that is family time. :) So did I have a good weekend? Si'! I did. Thanks for asking. > Did anybody do anything interesting this weekend?> > I'm hoping one of

exotic weekends, well................i did buy a large beautiful ginger plant and pot for the deck my husband just built, and i got two nice rocker/lounge chairs for the deck, they are so comfy,

i lugged it all in the truck to home, out of the truck and to the back yard and then the deck and surprised him for fathers day, he was impressed he loved it and we sat out there in our lounges soaking up the sun he a beer and I a light lemonaid.

Sunday the kids and myself took him to a sacramento rivercats baseball game and had fun and then my husband opened his gifts and we just hung out on the deck listened to some music and then he worked on the drip irrigation that we had disturbed putting in the pool/deck

exotic well not really, but fun and filled with a lot of things........................very satisfying though

you are such a sassy one, aren't you? Friday went out on a double date with the husband and some friends. We don't do this much so it was nice for us and the husband really liked them so that helps. (he doesn't like much) Then I went to Karaoke. Saturday we had a picnic for our one year anniversary of our weekly support group. It was great fun and we ate like kings. Ok, kings that don't eat too much but it was great food and fun. That night I went out with friends, yes to Karaoke again, and it was a blast. I didn't get back home until 3:45 after having breakfast at Denny's. God, it has been a hundred years since I went to Denny's after the bar. *giggle*Sunday we had a great day in San Francisco. We had 2nd row tickets for the matinee of Les Mis at the Curran (sp?) Theatre. I need a good cry from time to time and

this was my 13 year old daughters first time see it. My 5th. Husbands 4th. Yes, we are fans. Then off to Max's on the Square for father's day dinner. It was wonderful. Now I am back to the daily grind and will be busy this week because we are leaving for Las Vegas on Friday morning. It is a rush rush trip and we aren't doing anything but visiting the in-laws. they haven't seen me at this weight so this will be great fun. I also love them and miss them.
