Guest guest
Take activated charcoal for the die off and soak in epsom baths. And see how that effects the die off and pain situation. Also, did he take any other pain or headache or nausea meds? When I had awful die off (lasting over a week), I was getting a really bad gut or stomach pain, and I finally figured out that since I was taking this migraine medicine for the strong headaches, I should look at the side effects - and sure enough - that was causing the gut pains. Just in case thought it was worth mentioning, Mara > Heidi, > > With an obstruction you need to check for bowel sounds. > Most of the time there is no passing of gas or a BM although it can > sometimes be sporadic before the actual narrowing or after the > episode of narrowing. > > Sometimes an obstruction is accompanied by vomiting and nausea. > > It hurts. Guest guest
Thanks for the replys everyone! We made a 2 am trip to the ER and it did turn out to be a partial obstruction. Interestingly enough, this blood work was all good and he had a SED rate of 6! He is admitted for a few days. We did get to meet and new Internist and share SCD - and get the glazed look - but he did ask what the diet is called and he did agree to let me bring my husband food when he can start in with the clear liquids, etc. Intro here we come! I am headed to bed after 30+ hours up I REAlly need to crash! Heidi To: BTVC-SCD From: jodah235@...Date: Fri, 28 Aug 2009 10:43:23 +0000Subject: Re: Obstruction?
