Guest guest
Heidi There aren't too many things that can go wrong in the upper stomach. Hiatal hernia, heartburn, acid reflux, gastroparesis are some that come to mind immediately. Pain can be associated with these conditions, although usually it's the other symptoms that people notice before pain. But there could be referred pain from other organs nearby. Gallbladder problems trigger pain slightly to the right of the stomach; pancreas pain is slightly to the left. But one of the most critical of the nearby organs is the heart. I suggest that you head for the doctor or ER just to make sure there isn't something very serious developing. Kim M. SCD 5+ years > > My husband is experiencing pain high in his stomach and we are trying to determine if it is die off or possibly an obstruction. His stomach was upset earlier so he took 3 l-acidophilus pills. Since then he complained that he thought he might have the flu with nausea. He had a bm and can pass gas and right now doesn't have a fever but he does have that pain higher up that doesn't seem like the flu. Any thoughts?
