What do you do when you go to a country with different voltage? You need to take yours from home with a converter? What a mess. Well, the majority of xPAPs (xPAP is a generic term for CPAP, APAP and BiPAP) come with multi-voltage power supplies, so all you need is the proper plug converter. I haven't had occasion to do that type of traveling with my machine. Yet. I've taken two trips by car with my Bipap. I just pack everything up in its carrying bag and stick it in the car and go. I grant you, it's a nuisance, setting it up and taking it down every morning when doing an overnight, but I'm getting used to it. There are plenty of discussions about traveling by air with these machines -- they don't usually count as part of your carry-on luggage. TSA is usually familiar with them. Most people who travel with xPAPs report what I would consider to be less hassle than we SCDers have with getting legal food! And we SCDers are expert at that, so I expect we'd be good at handling the xPAP hassles, too! — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund

As Marilyn said, all you need is a plug converter. The machine handles the different power types available. I've used mine in New Zealand. They come in a carrying case that includes the machine and room for hose and mask. I include some distilled water for the humidifier in my checked baggage. The TSA screeners are very used to dealing with cpap machines and recognize the cpap carrying case without needing to be prompted. They take them and do a manual check.
