I'm glad to hear that you made it safely to the East Coast. Best of

luck as you and your family get settled in.

I'm sure you've gotten hundreds of e-mails like this, but I want to

send you mine anyway.

The work you have done with your website, the discussion lists you

moderate, and in your own personal weight loss journey have been

invaluable to me. I have garnered the most tremendous information,

support, and inspiration from you nearly every day for the past six

months, and I look forward to remaining a part of this very special

community of people you have assembled.

I have met and corresponded with dozens of wonderful people on this

subject, but none seems to have a more level-headed approach than

you. It can be difficult to keep issues relating to food, weight,

health, and self-image in perspective because they are such

emotionally charged issues. You have not only been blessed with the

ability to do so, but you have a marvelous sense of humor about the

whole thing.

I share in your joy as you describe not only how you have shed those

excess pounds but also as you revel in your ability to eat what you

like with no apologies. How wonderful it must feel to know you are

no longer enslaved by your old miserable metabolism.
