Hi Robyn,

You're in good company here; we have numerous list

members who are VBG-to-DS revision patientsm and they

have been happy with their results as far as I can

see. There is also another mailing list that you might

want to check out:

7.) http://www.egroups.com/group/DS_Revision

" This group was created for those who have had

previous WLS, and have had or are considering

revisional surgery to BPD/DS. Our experiences will be

different, and our risks are greater than for

non-revisional WLS patients. Let's chat, share

experiences, and support each other. All are welcome! "

Perhaps you can find more specific stats there on

success rates. I think the best thing would be to find

a DS surgeon who is experienced with revisions and

consult with him/her. Where are you located? Did you

have a particular DS doc in mind to use?

M.

Robyn: I too, have a failed VBG and am now in the

process of applying for a revision using the switch.

I have read a lot about it and the success rate seems

to be good. Currently my records and films are with

Dr. Anthone waiting to be evaluated. I will keep the

list here up to date on what is happening with my

case.
