(Could get a dehydrator, but think the Excalibur dehydrator is plastic, is that right?)I don't know about that, but when making yogurt in a dehydrator the yogurt isn't actually in contact with the plastic. You put the milk and starter in whatever containers or jars you want, and then stick those in the dehydrator. Would it still be a problem? Stainless steel dehydrators are worth your life in expense.

($6000....)

You can make your yogurt in glass jars in the Excalibur, and the food

need not touch the plastic.

You can also obtain metal shelves for the Excalibur. Or put parchment on

the plastic ones.

For a regular Yogurt maker, get the Yogourmet from Lucy's Kitchen Shop

and get the optional glass jars that she has for it.

You can get glass jars for the yogourmet. They are not too thin. I've used

mine quite a lot.

recommendation as to a good brand of yogurt maker with glass jar/jars for the

yogurt? Reviews of possibilities on Amazon indicate that some overheat, some

have thin jars that break easily, etc. so would love some input of ones that are

good or ones to avoid. Thanks for any help. Marilyn
