I had a pleasant experience yesterday. I passed gas, and it

was not smelly. But someday soon it probably will be, so i

ordered Devrom from the Parthenon web site: www.parthenoninc.com .

The site does not accept credit cards directly; they call you back to

get your credit card number. So, a very pleasant young man

called me back. Asked if I needed the product for WLS (it was

originally developed for -ostomy patients). He went on to tell

me how much they appreciated the business from the WLS community and

that they would be most happy to send free samples to any prospective

buyer. In fact, I had ordered two bottles of the capsules, and

he said that he would include samples of the chewables just so that I

could try them (apparently a mild banana flavor). He will also

include several more samples for me to take to Dr. Elariny's next

support group. I'd guess that if you call the number at the web

site, they will take your name and send you free samples.

I have not used the product yet, so this is not an endorsement of

the product. But, it is a ringing endorsement of the positive

attitude and graciousness of the person with whom I spoke.

I bought a boatload of the capsules..............

My Devrom is chewables. I too bought a boatload. 1000 (10 bottles)

for $90. Best thing I ever bought pre-op.

I was wondering though, if they could slow down your weight loss? I

heard that taking charcoal for internal odors can do that.

Steve, I bought the capsules instead of the tablets because I think they are absorbed better, I did come to the conclusion that they made me a little nauseated early on, so stopped taking them during that time. Now that I'm 4+ mos post op, I'm thinking about trying them again to see if my more steady tummy can handle them.

Yesterday was my granddaughter's 10th birthday. We went on a little shopping spree at Boutique Target (pronounced Tar-jhay). She told me that her mom (who is 5 mos post DS today) has "really stinky poops". My SO has commented on the same. So... I'm thinking maybe I should try it again. I found the people who sell it to be very pleasant and efficient.
