Guest guest
Yay! Another doctors appointment today. You know you have a good doctor when your appointment is the highlight of your day! =) Anyways, here are the results of the food testing that may interest you.. Colon AND yeast liked... -eden brand organic mustard!! (and this wasn't just 'tolerated,' it actually made my colon happier...I think it's because the main ingredient is ACV, which is supposed to be good for you. But I was surprised that the yeast were okay with it, since it's vinegar!!) -frozen peaches -raw strawberry (yeast was iffy on this one, but dr said it's probably from yeast growing on the skin of the strawberry) -frozen strawberry -raw chard -raw kale -raw romaine lettuce (yeast didn't like this, but again, probably the yeast on the surface of the leaf) -steamed broccoli (this surprised me) Neutral foods -steamed zucchini (I tested one piece with seeds, one with seeds AND skin, and one with neither, and all were the same, although the skin one MIGHT'VE been a little worse) -butter -raw cucumber (with AND without seeds) -avocado (this was between neutral and colon liked) Colon didn't like... -red bell pepper (steamed) -dark chocolate Recees cup (this was my control variable thrown in there; if this tested 'good' or 'neutral' I was gonna be seriously skeptical about the whole muscle testing thing) =) Applesauce I also tested, homemade of course. A hunch has been developing over the past week that I might have an issue with fructose, and this test confirmed it, since applesauce is one of the highest foods in fructose.. My colon liked the applesauce, and the yeast even was okay with it, but my small intestine, which is where fructose is absorbed, didn't like it. And my small intestine point was fine and strong without the applesauce. Hmmm... Good news though! My yeast point, with no foods or anything added, is much stronger than it was last week!..stronger in a good way =) So I must be killing it with my coconut flour and VCO. Yay! And the only colon point that was activated was my 'descending colon,' so at least my disease is currently localized. We also did a new electro-meridian-scan thingy today. I told you about that, right? Where it makes a graph of the energy in your different meridians? Well anyways, my first one, three appointments ago, had three or four 'splits,' which are bad because the energy isn't balanced. Today there was only one! There were still meridians that were too high or too low, but hey, it's progress! Okay, I think that's all for now =) Again, if this isn't helping anyone and I'm just being self absorbed by telling you all this, then let me know and I will stop!! Peace =) Alyssa 15 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008 SCD June 2009 (restarted) No meds!
