Guest guest
Yeah, they taste great for a protein bar! i hate em too! HMR chocolate lactose free pudding is all i can tolerate-14 g protein, 100 calories, no sugar (www.yourbetterhealth.com). But the bars are so convenient. I found some protein cookies in GNC and was so excited!! i bought 3 and tried one the next day--well, it was a protein bar in the shape of a cookie. boy was I bummed. YUCKY! Guest guest
What about Tiger Milk bars? I remember they tasted pretty good. My mom used to force them on me when I was a kid. Anyone know the protein content there? Donna > Yeah, they taste great for a protein bar! i hate em > too! Guest guest
> Okay, > > I tried Carb Solutions Chocolate Toffee Heath, a vanilla bean and a chocolate almond fudge (I can't remember who made the last two bars, but they were recommended ones) and they all tasted DISGUSTING!!! I've heard on AMOS and many other lists that Carb Solutions is one of the best ones out there and tastes great, etc, but they all had this same horrible aftertaste! Are you guys just not saying the last part, ie " It tastes great (FOR A PROTEIN BAR) " ? I could not get rid of the taste in my mouth and I only tried one bite of each one. Is it something you get used to ? I don't know if I want to get used to that, I'd rather have chicken!! *grins* Do protein shakes taste better or do they have that same gross aftertaste ? I was thinking of supplementing at least a little (ie, 1 bar or one drink a day, but I don't think I can stomach it if it leaves that aftertaste afterwards.. > > Anita > Pre-pre-op in Denver I think I have to agree with you, with the protein bars that I have tried I needed to drag my tongue on the pavement to get the yuck aftertaste out of my mouth! lol Give me chicken anyday.
