Hi Ogretta,

Am so glad you are home. Now comes the fun part, friend. Just watch the

weight fall off. It is amazing. Just remember to eat a little bit or eat

until you are full. Remember what will happen if you eat too much. Well, talk

to you soon.

Wonderful news! Glad you are back. I am 6 weeks post op and I am

eating about the same amount I did at 2 weeks post op 4-6 ounces.

Just depending on what it is. If it is real solids I can only hold

about 4 oz. If it is soft food and I take my time eating I can get

in about 5 to 6 oz. When I was first post-op I ate about every 2

hours. Now I am doing the 3 meals per day with 1 snack. I like to

feel hungry and my dh says I get real cranky when I need food. It

just takes time for the stomach to heal and form new nerve endings

and signals to the brain. I found that Pepcid Complete after my noon

and dinner meals stopped the jitters that my stomach started getting

a couple of weeks post op. I have gone a week without any jitters.

I hope and pray that you have a wonderful recovery and a quick loss

so that you can go back and have the 2nd phase of the surgery.

Glad to hear you are home and resting well. I was in a hotel for a

week and you're right, nothing beats your own bed and pillows! Don't

worry too much about food right now. I know the after the first few

days of eating liquids and bland mushed foods, I got a rasberry

slushy thing from Ruby Tuesdays and it was the best tasting thing I

think I ever had. I only had about 1/2 of it but it did reawaken my

tastebuds some! Take care and congratulations on your first surgery!
