Guest guest
Went to the AK/chiro/acu today again! I'll skip the chiro/acu part because, well nothing new there =) Here are my results from food testing though:Foods that my body liked!-coconut oil -coconut flour-raw garlic-frozen blueberries-frozen raspberry jam (homemade, seedless)-digestive enzymes-oil of oregano (not as good for yeast as coconut stuff, but still good)Foods that were neutral-raw blueberries (this was neutral because of yeast on the berry skins)-pecan butterFoods that weren't good-raw cauliflower-peanut butter-Now brand HCL (weird...)I also experimented with my theory of bananas being cancelled out by VCO. I held a banana and some coconut oil in my hand at the same time when he tested the yeast reflex. It actually did cancel out!! He tested the doseage (somehow) and came up with a little less than 2 tbps of VCO to cancel out a banana. Not sure how accurate this is, but I thought it was intereseting!I'm telling you guys all this in case it can help someone with their food choices, or what food to try next, because I never knew what foods to try. Let me know though if this is too off topic or not pertaining to the group enough and I'll stop =)Pour Dieu, pour terre,Alyssa 15UC April 2008, diagnosed Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)No meds except for the stupid iron pill I have to take that is SO illegal
Guest guest
Hi, Alyssa,Am reading recent e-mail, and am glad you felt better. I may have had similar symptom of nausea-- for days, turned into months. Turned out that my stomache would move and trigger my vagus [vagal?] nerve which would give me the feeling of being nauseated. Took a lot of head scratching to get that sorted out. At the time I was gluten free but had not heard of SCD. Was having a GF, sugar free cereal with chocolate soymilk every morning. I did some research, read that chocolate is a huge trigger. And that was that. Stopped the chocolate, and also coffee, and that was the end of the symptom. Till I tried coffee again. Not ok for my body.Hope you are feeling better and better,RuthI was feeling weird unpleasant stomach nausea all week, and when I was getting acupunctured, one needle hurt much more than any I've ever had. I was like, dude, that hurt!!! And he said, "I"m not surprised, that was the nausea point." Hah!! Way cool, yet painful =) So apparently for me, it hurts more if I need it..He fixed my stomach though. He somehow, though acupoints and organworktype stuff, figured out that my diaphragm/stomach positioning was off, and also that my stomach was somehow jolted into producing way less HCL than usual sometime this week. He said it could be stress related, or something else. Anyways, he did this weird thing where as I'm breathing in, he sticks his fingers up under my ribs and as I'm breathing out, he pushes down like he's 'grabbing' the organ and 'pulls' it down out from under my rib cage. Sort of like a very uncomfortable massage. VERY uncomfortable. But anyways, it fixed the bad stomach reflex and my nausea was gone when I left there, so yay! =)Peace =)Alyssa 15 yoUC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)No meds!
