I have scrambled egg w/a pinch of mozz cheese in the am along with 1 oz honey turkey meat. Lunch is the turkey meat with combo 1 0z cottage cheese and pear( packed in water) and dinner bay shrimp with cocktail sauce.I saw my PCP yesterday and was weighed. I have lost 26 lbs so far and can't be more happy. My energy level has really increased now that I have more solid foods as well. I have moved up to walking an hour at a time. I have really gotten to know the neighboorhood now! lolI am completely off ALL meds too! I haven't had to take any since home from the hosptial. I was taking Metformin for diabetes and liciniprol for blood pressure. Blood sugar yesterday was 103!!! And blood pressure was 106/65!!! So my Dr said congrats and that there wasn't anything he could do for me now that I am healthy! Oh my incisions are all scabbed over and two have all but disappeared. The level of excitment just builds everyday as the old me disappears into a distant memory. This has been a long journey and now I am finding my way back to me. It is like I was lost and turning in circles in the woods and now there is a clearing up ahead and I am starting to run towards it!Thanks for all the encourgagment and support here, I know it has helped me in my process! You are all great people and we are doing what no one else can for us, give us our lives back!Kay336- Orientation 5/6/04290 Dr Baggs- 6/28/05- surgery264- 7/18/05- almost 30 lbs lost so far!Total of 72 lbs lost since beinging this journey! Guest guest
Thanks Colleen!! I really do feel better. I still can't believe surgery was just three weeks ago. I never could have imagined feeling this good so soon afterward was possible. I can't wait to see Dr Baggs day after tomorrow to show him my progress. I am having a hard time though with feeling cold all the time. My hands are always freezing when I am inside at the company I work for. THey need to turn down their air conditioning. THen I hear people walk by saying the air conditioning needs to be turned UP??? lol I went to Healdsburg on Sunday, it was 95 degrees up there and I didn't even break a sweat when I was walking around. The old me would have been a miserable sweaty mess. It was incredible! I am really looking forward to Hawaii now in October! How was your weekend? DO okay?
